The final battle between Avengers and X-Men is this Wednesday, October 3

The end has arrived. Friends have become enemies. Lines have been crossed. Jason Aaron and Adam Kubert bring one of Marvel's biggest events to a close this week in Avengers vs X-Men #12. What everyone feared has happened. The Dark Phoenix has awakened and the world will burn in its wake. Whose side are you on in this final battle? And you won't want to miss AVX VS #6 by some of the industries greatest writers and authors. The main event features Hope going up against Scarlet Witch, but that's not all. For the final issue, Marvel has pulled out all the stops and is packing it with as many fights and characters as possible. Also, check out the AvX tie-in Uncanny X-Men #19 by Kieron Gillen and Ron Garney.

Marvel has two new mini-series starting this week! First up, a story that has been years in the making, Daredevil: End of Days #1 by fan favorite Daredevil creators Brian Bendis, David Mack, Klaus Janson, and Bill Sienkiewicz. The Man Without Fear has finally met his match and paid the price, but Matt Murdock's story doesn't end there. Investigative journalist Ben Urich is writing one last story, and he plans to uncover Murdock's final secret. Keeping with the red color scheme, Minimum Carnage Alpha #1 by Christopher Yost and Lan Medina is the next miniseries starring one of Spider-Man's greatest villains. Venom and Scarlet Spider are on the hunt for Carnage, but they never expected where (or what size) it would take them!

DC Comics presents Legends of the Dark Knight #1, a collection of non-continuity tales from some of the industries top creators. The first issue of this new series features the stories The Butler Did It by Damon Lindelof and Jeff Lemire, All of the Above by Jonathan Larsen and J.G. Jones, and The Crime Never Committed by Tom Taylor, Nicola Scott, and Wayne Faucher. The long awaited Rotworld storyline by Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire picks up this week after last month's zero issues. Welcome to The Red Kingdom in Animal Man #13, stay around and watch the world rot. Look for guest stars including the Justice League Dark, Beast Boy, and others! Meanwhile, Swamp Thing learns why the Earth has fallen to the Rot in Swamp Thing #13, with guest stars Poison Ivy, Deadman, and The Parliament of Trees. Hurm, Before Watchmen: Rorschach #2 by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermajo is your weekly Watchmen fix.
