Zero in on new comics this Wednesday, September 26

This week marks the last of the zero issues from DC Comics. Since the introduction of the Court of Owls in Batman, the group of unstoppable assassins have been a thorn in Gotham's side. Luckily, there is one less killer to worry about in Scott Snyder and Guillem March's Talon #0. Calvin Rose was just like all of his counterparts in the Court of Owls until he was able to break free of the group's grasp on his mind. Now, Calvin just wants to live a normal life, but he is going to find that hard to do when he becomes the next target on the Court's list. Batman was born from the death of his parents, and in Batman, The Dark Night #0, he sets out to find his mother and father's killer. You won't want to miss the introduction of Joe Chill or the unraveling conspiracy to destroy the Wayne family. Find even more Bat action in Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham's Batman Incorporated #0. Batman realized he needed help continuing his war on crime, and now readers can see how his partners in Batman Inc. were recruited. Now, let's go from the rooftops of Gotham to the depths of the ocean in Aquaman #0 by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis. The city of Atlantis makes its first New 52 appearance in a story set in Arthur's past as he meets Atlanteans for the first time. Don't miss this issue because it will set the stage for Aquaman's future. Speaking of a character's past shaping his future, the new creative team of Scott Lobdell and Kenneth Rocafort take readers back to Jor-El's discovery that Krypton was doomed in Superman #0. Fans of the Avatar cartoon series should be happy to know that the third and final installment of Avatar The Last Airbender: The Promise is out Wednesday. The four nations have been plunged back into war with the Restoration Movement's failure. The new war has once again put Aang and Fire Lord Zuko on separate sides, but will they be able to overcome their issues before one of them pays the ultimate cost?
