The third week of September brings with it a slew of DC New 52 zero issues. Pandora, the mysterious woman appearing in the background of the number one issues, has been the constant topic of conversation among fans, but no one knows who she is or where she came from. Justice League #0, by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, presents the not-to-be-missed origin of the hooded lady and further rumblings that will build to Trinity War, but that isn't all! The true star of this book is Billy Batson and the power of Shazam; don't miss the New 52 origin the of "The Big Red Cheese." After a year, not all of the original New 52 books were lucky enough to make it to the zero issue mark, but the super-sized DC Universe Presents #0 brings readers five new tales featuring some of these not so fortunate characters like Mother Machine, Hawk and Dove, Mister Terrific, and O.M.A.C. While some books go away, new ones come on to the scene. Amethyst returns in Sword of Sorcery #0 by Marx Christy and Aaron Lopresti. Amy Winston and her mother have lived an odd life on the road but for good reason. Amy is about to find out she is the lost princess of Gemworld and, because of that, is being hunted by enemies of the throne. 
If your looking forward to the return of the Joker in DC's forthcoming Death of the Family storyline, don't miss Scott Lobdell and Pasqual Ferry's Red Hood and the Outlaws #0, or you won't know how Jason Todd returned to the land of the living after being killed by the Joker. If you want more origins of the Bat-family, see how the orphaned Dick Grayson turns super hero in Nightwing #0 by Kyle Higgins and Eddy Barrows. And what of Kate Kane? She bares the familiar symbol of the Batman, but why? In Batwoman #0, writer/artist Freddie Williams tells the story of how Kate left behind her life of excess and became the masked crusader Batwoman. One of the staff favorite Spider-Man (or should I say Spider-Men) events of the year is coming to a close this week with Spider-Men #5 by Brian Michael Bendis and the incredibly talented Sara Pichelli. Peter and Miles have been through a lot during their short time together, but the amazing Spider-Man must find a way back to his own reality. To do that, the Spider-Men must stop Mysterio. Don't miss the epic conclusion to this amazing series. For those needing their Avengers vs X-Men fix, check out Avengers #30 and see if the budding romance between Hawkeye and Spider-Woman can survive the ending of the world. Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard have taken fans on an emotional roller coaster with their Something to Fear storyline, but the ride comes to an end with Walking Dead #102.
