With a team like that, the bad guys better watch out. Speaking of Mr. Castle, don't forget to pick up Punisher War Zone #2; the Avengers have finally decided that the Punisher must be stopped, but Frank doesn't give up easy. After the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man, readers will not want to miss issue #699 this week. Writer Dan Slott reveals secrets that were put into motion back in "Ends of the Earth," "Spider-Island," and even ASM #600. With Doc in control, what will happen to the life Parker has built and will anyone be safe? This issue also features appearances of Morbius the Living Vampire (getting his own ongoing series soon), the Lizard, and many other Spidey foes. This all leads to the huge, final issue of Amazing Spider-Man.
Joker's reign of terror continues in Detective Comics #15 by John Layman, Jason Fabok, and Andy Clarke. The Penguin is missing and all signs point to the Joker. Plus, Clayface and Poison Ivy make a special guest appearance. If you are looking for something new, DC has Human Bomb #1 by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Jerry Ordway. Michael Taylor, an ex-marine, has uncovered a plot to destroy the United States with human bombs, but he may be the biggest threat of them all. To make up for lost time, readers get Before Watchmen: Comedian #4 and Before Watchmen: Minutemen #5 this week, both with Crimson Corsair backup stories by John Higgins. Other titles to look out for include Action Comics #15, Animal Man #15 and Swamp Thing #15 (continuing the "Rotworld" storyline), Earth 2 #7, and more of your favorite New 52 books.
