Have you enjoyed Marvel's big event Avengers vs. X-Men? Of course you have! This week brings you even more to enjoy in AvX VS #1 by writer Jason Aaron and Kathryn Immonen and artists Adam Kubert and Stuart Immonen. While the main series and several of tie-in issues have focused on the reason for conflict between the two teams, this new book is nothing but pure, unbridled, face-punching action! Round One, fight! In this corner, we have Iron Man! And in the other, we have the master of magnetism himself, Magneto! This is the fight you have all been waiting for! But that's not all! In Round Two, ol' blue eyes, The Thing, faces off against the prince of Atlantis, Namor! If that isn't enough, keep an eye out for these tie-in issues: New Avengers #25, Secret Avengers #26, and Uncanny X-Men #11!
Fans of Bioware's blockbuster Mass Effect 3 will not want to miss Mass Effect: Homeworlds #1 by lead game writer Mac Walters with art by Eduardo Francisco. This is the first in a series of single-issue stories that will feature one of the heroes from the game. First up, a story of a young and brash soldier by the name of James Vega! These stories are essential to the story of BioWare's latest game, so don't miss out!
Of course, DC's regular fourth week titles will be available. A few of my favorite titles are Aquaman, All Star Western, and I Vampire.
For those of you that also enjoy gaming, I wanted to let you know about this weekend's Magic The Gathering prerelease tournament for Avacyn Restored. Two tournaments will be held: one on Saturday, April 28th and the other on Sunday, April 29th. Both tournaments begin at noon, so plan accordingly. To make things a little more exciting, we will be opening the Helvault as players complete the requirements to break each seal. What's inside? Well, you will have to be there to find out!
