New Release Comics - Wednesday, June 10

Is Gotham City ready for a new protector? Are you ready for a brand new Dark Knight? Well, ready or not, he's here in Batman #41 by Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo and Danny Miki. The team that brought you the story lines you've loved is taking the series in a bold new direction. In Batman/Superman #21 by Greg Pak and Ardian Syaf, the new Batman meets the changed Superman. Then Batman teams up with Harvey Bullock for a GCPD Bat Task Force, now with more Ray Montoya, in Detective Comics #41 by Francis Manpul and Brian Buccellato.

Batman isn't the only thing new this week at DC. Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, the writing team behind the breakout book Harley Quinn, join forces with artist Emanuela Lupacchino to bring you Starfire #1. The alien outlaw is just trying to find peace on Earth, and she'll take on anyone who gets in her way. Her former partners in crime get their own book by Scott Lobdell and Dennis Medri: Red Hood/Arsenal #1. The two men are making their way through DC's underground, let's hope they make it out alive.

Do you want even more new DC titles? Well, we've got them. In Constantine, The Hellblazer #1 by Ming Doyle and Riley Rossmo, Constantine goes deeper into DC's occult world than ever before to investigate his own past. Then, the surviving heroes of Earth-2 have found a new home in Earth 2 Society #1 by Daniel H. Wilson and Jorge Jimenez. The Flash, Green Lantern, Power Girl and an all-new Batman attempt to make a new life. And if you're looking for something a little less serious, try Section 8 #1 by Garth Ennis and John McCrea. In this new six-issue miniseries, Sixpack returns to Gotham to get Section 8 back together, but you'll never guess the eight member...Batman!

Believe it or not, DC isn't the only company with new books this week. Marvel has a slew of new Secret Wars tie-ins. The undead are back in Marvel Zombies #1 by Simon Spurrier and Kev Walker. Battleworld is bringing back a lot of classics, so it wouldn't feel right with these living nightmares. Elsa Bloodstone is in the middle of it all as she attempts to save a living, breathing human baby from the zombiverse. Then Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps #1 by Kelly Sue DeConnick, Kelly Thompson and David Lopez tells the story of Carol Danvers and her battling brigade. Other tie-ins include 1602: Witch Hunter Angela #1, Ghost Racers #1, Inferno #1, Inhumans: Attilan Rising #2, Mrs Deadpool and the Howling Commandos #1, Secret Wars 2099 #2, Secret Wars Journal #2, Spider-Verse #2, Ultimate End #2, and Weirdworld #1.
