New Release Comics - Wednesday, February 18

The spider who bit Peter Parker didn't stop at changing one person's life. No. He went on to bite Cindy Moon, bestowing upon her powers similar to Parker's. The difference: Cindy didn't have a loving uncle to teach him about powers and responsibilities. Instead, she was locked away in a bunker. Now, Cindy has escaped and runs around New York and the Spider-Verse as the hero Silk in the new Marvel comic Silk #1 by Robbie Thompson and Stacey Lee. Silk's life has been turned upside down. Now readers will join her on a adventure as she makes her own way. Then, check out Legendary Star Lord #9 by Sam Humphries and Paco Medina. The heroes' restraint when it comes to the Black Vortex is weakening. Will the desire for power tear the Guardians and X-Men apart? With an enemy like the Knife, the good guys better hope they can keep it together.

Check out the rest of this week's highlights and a full list of releases after the break!

Grant Morrison's epic DC Comics series continues this week with its seventh installment in Multiversity: Masterman with art by the legendary Jim Lee and Scott Williams. With a power house team like this, readers can expect nothing less than amazing. In this world, the Nazis won WWII and have continued to shape history with the assistance of Overman, a alien that crash landed on Earth as a baby. Now, it is up to The Freedom Fighters, led by the mighty Uncle Sam, to free the world of Overman's mighty grip. Speaking of struggling with super powered beings, Bruce Wayne must adapt to Damian's new found powers in Batman and Robin #39 by Peter J. Tomasi, Patrick Gleason, and Mick Gray.

Check out Image's new comic Sparks Nevada, Marshal on Mars #1 by Ben Acker, Ben Blacker, J. Bone, and Jordie Bellair based on the popular Nerdist podcast. Sparks Nevada brings justice to Mars as he rides his rocket steed. During his quest against evil, Sparks will face off against robots and aliens. Just another day on the fourth planet from the Sun.
