Batman is celebrating the holidays early this Wednesday, November 2

Christmas comes early to Gotham City this Wednesday! Inspired by Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, the original graphic novel Batman: Noel Deluxe Edition HC, by writer/artist Lee Bermejo, features Batman interpreted for different eras from the 1960s to today. In order to come to terms with his past, present, and future, The Dark Knight will encounter versions of his allies and enemies that anyone familiar with Dickens' classic will recognize. Fans of Bermejo's Joker and Bat-fans of all types will enjoy this wonderful, oversized graphic novel and its exploration of what makes Batman the hero his is today.

Last week, we followed Wolverine and his X-Men to the newly reopened Xavier school, but this week Marvel is taking us back to Utopia in Uncanny X-Men #1. One of the hottest new writers in comics Kieron Gillen and superstar artist Carlos Pacheco bring us Cyclopes and his team of mutants that chose to stay on the island. Not only must the X-Men deal with the fallout of X-Men: Schism, they now have the newly resurrected Mister Sinister to worry about--and he may have had something to do with their problems all along. You will not want to miss the beginning of a book that promises to bring us the biggest and baddest X-Men ever! Also look for these other X-titles on shelves this Wednesday: New Mutants #33, X-23 #16, and X-Men #20!

Dark Shadows returns with a new comic series from Dynamite Entertainment. Writer Stuart Manning and artist Aaron Campbell bring Barnabas Collins, the original reluctant vampire, back as he re-adjusts to life with his vampiric condition. Barnabas must fight his growing bloodlust as he is plagued by nightmares of his lover and nemesis, Angelique. If he loses his fight, everyone in Collinwood will pay the price. Drama, mystery, and vampires! You know you want it.

Fantasy art legend Rebecca Guay and a host of amazing writers--Holly Black, Bill Willingham, Alisa Kwitney, Louise Hawes, and T.D. Mitchell--bring to life Guay's new, original graphic novel, Flight of Angels. Often times depicted as warriors, guardians, messengers, and more, Angels mean many things to different people. This new hardcover explores these legends when a mysterious angel plummets to Earth and is found in the forest by its mystical denizens. As the creatures debate over what to do with him, they each tell a tale of who they think this angel might be. Once they make their verdict, you will be left speechless.

DC's deluxe presentation of Neil Gaiman's Sandman continues this week with the release of Absolute Sandman Vol. 5, collecting The Sandman: Endless Nights, Dream Hunters, and Sandman Midnight Theatre. However, DC isn't stopping their. They are also releasing the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Omnibus HC collecting Alan Moore's original two LoEG stories!

These books, and many more, will be available as soon as we open the doors on Wednesday, so come on by! (And if you want to get an idea what else you can expect, check out the covers below!)
