Get your weekly dose of action and adventure this Wednesday, August 17

Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's powerful series WE3 will see its first hardcover edition this week! The WE3 Deluxe Edition HC collects the original three issue miniseries along with some great bonus content. This edition has 10 new story pages integrated into the series and 28-pages of bonus material containing character sketches and designs by Quitely and commentary and script excerpts from Morrison. For those not familiar with the series, three animals are transformed into prototype killing machines with enhanced nervous systems and deadly exoskeletons, but, with their purpose served, they are marked for decommission. However, the animals are able to escape their creators and embark on a dangerous journey in an attempt to find a place in a world where they do not belong. Fans of Morrison and Quitely should not miss this lovingly crafted hardcover edition.

Robert Kirkman is well known for his wildly successful Walking Dead series, but he also created the amazing superhero story Invincible! The series follows Invincible, the son of Omni-Man, and his attempt to come to terms with his developing powers and true origin. This week, readers new to the series can pick up the Invincible Compendium Vol. 01 that collects volumes 1-9 of the trade paperbacks. This is a great deal for those looking to check out this wonderful series. Kirkman's Walking Dead #88 is also out this week, so no one should be left wanting for something good to read.

DC comics has several issues people should take a look at. Flashpoint continues in Abin Sur, The Green Lantern #3; Legion of Doom #3; The Outsider #3; and Wonder Woman and The Furies #3! Those wanting something a little more retro need not look any further than the DC Retroactive line, which travels back to the 90s in Batman - The 90s; Flash - The 90s; and Wonder Woman - The 90s.

Some notable Marvel releases this week include several Fear Itself tie-ins: Fear Itself: Deadpool #3; Fearsome Four #3; and The Home Front #5. The X-Men even of 2011 continues in X-Men: Schism #3 by Jason Aaron and artist Daniel Acuna. Those following this event may also want to pick up Generation Hope #10, a Schism tie-in; Hope and her team's day trip quickly turns tragic as the first casualties of Schism threaten the existence of the team. Last but not least, Ultimate Comics Fallout #6 is also on shelves.

These books, and many more, will be available as soon as we open the doors on Wednesday, so come on by! (And if you want to get an idea what else you can expect, check out the covers below!)
