New Release Comics - Wednesday, March 4

In the Star Wars universe, Princess Leia Organa was never the kind of royalty to sit idly by and let others do the hard work. This amazing creative duo brings readers Leia's journey to free the people of the galaxy from the iron fist of the Empire and find her place in life along the way.

Fresh off of Matt Fraction's beloved run on Hawkeye comes All New Hawkeye #1 by Jeff Lemire and Ramon Perez. Hawkeye is back and his partner and ward, Kate Bishop, is along for the ride in this brand new series that explores two generations or Marvel archers. Don't miss Lemire's story that will change everything Clint and Kate know about being Hawkeye. Then, don't miss the new Guardians Team-Up #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and Arthur Adams. This ongoing series will pair the Guardians of the Galaxy along side some of the Marvel Universe's biggest and brightest heroes. In this first outing, the Guardians join forces with the legendary Avengers to take on a cosmic threat like none before.

Jeff Lemire has been a busy guy because he also has a new book coming out this week from Image: Descender #1. Along for the ride is Dustin Nguyen on art duties. This extra-sized issue kicks off a cosmic odyssey about the struggle of humans versus machines. A young robot boy must do everything he can to stay alive as he is hunted by bounty hunters aiming to kill all androids. If you enjoyed Sweet Tooth or Trillium, you won't want to miss this. If out of this world story telling is your thing, you'll also want to pick up Saga #26 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. For something a little more grounded (perhaps six-feet under ground), take a look at Nailbiter/Hack Slash #1 by Joshua Williamson, Tim Seeley, Mike Henderson, and Emilio Laiso. When serial killers clash, no one is safe, not even the killers.
