New Release Comics - Wednesday, April 1

This Wednesday, BOOM! Studios is bringing readers UFOlogy #1, a hot new series from James Tynion IV (The Woods and Memtic), Noah J Yuenkel, and Matt Fox. Becky and Malcolm couldn't be more different if they tried. Becky just wants a normal high school student life (or as normal of a life you can have during high school) and not stick out. Malcolm is eccentric and wants his life to have a grand purpose. As if playing a cruel joke, fate decides Becky will be the one to take on the burden of an alien's marking, dragging her down a trail of mystery better left suited for someone who wanted anything to do with that type of life. So it only makes sense for Becky to enlist the help of Malcolm. Don't miss this exciting new series.

How did the man people know as Kanan Jarrus in the television series Star Wars Rebels actually become Kanan? Especially when he was known as Jedi Padawan Caleb Dume years before. Find out the secret history of Kanan in Star Wars: Kanan, The Last Padawan #1 by Greg Weisman and Pepe Larraz. Caleb and his Jedi Master Depa Billaba did not expect their squad of Clone Troopers to turn on them, but when Order 66 came through, the Jedi in control became the enemy. Find out how Caleb survived the Jedi purge and grew into Kanan in this brand new series sure to please fans of Rebels and those who just enjoy a good Star Wars story.

Besides their every growing offering of quality Star Wars titles, Marvel has some other great series for you this Wednesday. First up, is the all new original graphic novel, Avengers: Rage of Ultron by Rick Remender, Jerome Opena, and Pepe Larraz. Years ago, the Avengers conquered one of their greatest foes, Ultron. The mad machine created by Hank Pym was launched into space, hopefully, to never bother anyone again. However, Ultron has found a planet fit for a monster like himself and plans to reshape it in his image. When the Avengers are called back into action to stop Ultron, the price of victory may be too much. Don't miss this great new graphic novel designed for new and old readers alike.

In The Uncanny Inhumans #0 by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven, readers get a prelude to the highly anticipated new Inhumans series while seeing a side of the Inhuman's ruler, Black Bolt, they've never seen before. Then, jump forward 500 years to a world where Ultron won in Avengers: Ultron Forever #1 by Al Ewing and Alan Davis. The human race is either dead or enslaved by Ultron and his legion of robots, but Doctor Doom plans to fight back by bringing back seven Avengers from across the span of time to fight the menace and take back the world...or die trying. And if you thought there would be only one time traveling Avengers book this week, you thought wrong. In Avengers Millennium #1 by Mike Costa and Carmine DiGiandomenico the Avengers stumble upon a time-portal left by Hydra in a hidden base. But if Hydra had a way to traverse time, why wouldn't they use it to win all of their battles. Unless they know they do! Isn't time travel fun?

DC has a slew of Annuals for readers this week. The Dynamic Duo hits the streets of Gotham in Batman and Robing Annual #3 by Peter J. Tomasi and Juan Jose Ryp. After being apart for so long during Damian's death and his changed state upon resurrection, will father and son be able to go back to the way things were? Or has life changed too much for the both of them? Speaking of people coming back, Teen Titans Annual #1 by Will Pfeifer, Tom King, and Alisson Borges takes a look at the team as it deals with Superboy's return to the group after his destructive absence. Other Annuals this week include Batman/Superman Annual #2 by Greg Pak, Ardian Syaf, and Jonathan Glapion; Batwoman Annual #2 by Marc Andreyko, Georges Jeanty, and Karl Story; and Sinestro Annual #1 by Cullen Bunn and Martin Coccolo.
