It's Easy Being Green

Wednesday brings a double dose of Green Lantern, with both the flagship title and Green Lantern Corps arriving. The Brightest Day saga continues to unfold in several other books this week as well, including Justice League: Generation Lost #6, Justice League of America #47, Green Arrow #2, and Flash #4.

Captain Jack fans take note--Torchwood #1 (not pictured, alas) is also arriving this week, featuring a story co-written by John Barrowman and his sister. And who knows Captain Jack better than the actor who plays him?

Which version of the Punisher do you enjoy the most? It doesn't really matter, since both versions are coming in this week with the arrival of PunisherMAX #9 and Punisher: FrankenCastle #19.

What does J. Michael Straczynski have in store for Wonder Woman? The final story of Wonder Woman #600 offered some hints, but you can get a much better idea of what's in the works with his first full issue, Wonder Woman #601.

All these books, and many more, will be available as soon as we open the doors on Wednesday, so come on by! (And if you want to get an idea what else you can expect, check out the list below!)

If you're following The Return of Bruce Wayne, then you know that the timestream is going a little wacky--and if you an I know about the problem, you can rest assured that Rip Hunter, Time Master, knows it as well! So Rip Hunter enlists the aid of Superman, Green Lantern, and Booster Gold to straighten things out in Time Masters: Vanishing Point #1, a must-read complement to the Return of Bruce Wayne saga.

Incoming for July 14th!

Superman's walkabout begins in earnest in Superman #701, on sale this week. J. Michael Straczynski is restoring Superman's human touch in this year-long story that takes the Man of Steel across the country in a quest for his non-Kryptonian roots.

Matt Kindt produces one of the finest original graphic novels we've seen in years in Revolver. It's a complex multiple-reality tale that ranks alongside some of Philip K. Dick's best work--but with pictures!

Jim Shooter relaunches Doctor Solar in the new Solar: Man of the Atom series from Dark Horse. It's a new take on the iconic hero, written by the man responsible for his Valiant relaunch back in the 1990s--so don't miss it!

Kids may be out of school around here, but not in the Marvelverse: Avengers Academy #2 continues the adventures of Marvel's future Avengers. If you haven't tried this title, you owe it to yourself to check it out--it's the sleeper hit of the Avengers relaunch.
