New Release Comics - Wednesday, March 11

After the Guardians of the Galaxy film, a certain walking, talking duck rose to prominence once again. Now, he is back in Howard the Duck #1 by Chip Zdarsky and Joe Quinones. A weird case takes the Marvel U's weirdest (and best) private investigator. In this issue, Howard crosses paths with the Black Cat and Mysterious Forces from Out Space! If the odd is your thing, check this new ongoing series out. Marvel also has several great Spider-titles this week. Everyone's favorite new web-slinger hits shelves in Spider-Gwen #2 by Jason Latour and Javier Rodriguez. And Peter Parker gets two issues of action with Amazing Spider-Man #16 (by Dan Slott, Christos Gage, and Humberto Ramos) and Amazing Spider-Man Special #1 (by Jeff Loveness and Luca Pizzari), which kicks off a three part story running through this issue, Inhuman, and All-New Captain America.

Check out the rest of this week's highlights and a full list of releases after the break.

The hero who personified Image Comics in the 90s makes a triumphant return in this week's Spawn Resurrection #1 by the new creative team of Paul Jenkins and Jonboy Meyers. Al Simmons is back in this special issue. Where has the man the world knew as Spawn been? Why is he suddenly back? And how did he manage to get in a situation worse than a battle between Heaven and Hell? Discover the answers in this issue that leads into Spawn #251.

Fan favorite author Matt Kindt and artists Clay Mann and Butch Guice bring readers Ninjak #1 from Valiant. Learn everything about Colin King, the man known as Ninjak, as the past and present collide in this story spanning King's early career as an MI-6 agent to his later career as the unstoppable assassin readers know today. Anyone looking to try a new Valiant book should give this one a chance with a great character and team like this.
