Mark Millar and John Romita Jr's hugely successful heroes Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl return this week in Kick-Ass 3 #1. Following the insane conclusion of Kick-Ass 2, superheroes have been outlawed. Hit-Girl is in jail, and Kick-Ass inherited her weapons, hideout and the leadership of Justice Forever. Their first mission: Break Hit-Girl out of jail. Can the heroes go to the other side to free one of their own? Then, after a couple weeks off, Age of Ultron #9 returns readers to a terrible version of the Marvel Universe where the heroes have been forced to make a shocking choice that has only made things worse. DC Comics and Kurt Busiek's Astro City returns this week with the first issue of the new ongoing, monthly series. Fans of the original series and new readers can look forward to the return of old favorites like Samaritan and Honor Guard and meet several of the new heroes. An average man becomes entangled in a cosmic conflict as The Ambassador comes to Earth. And who is the Broken Man? With Geoff Johns' departure from the book, Robert Venditti takes the reins of Green Lantern #21. After the fallout of 'Wrath of the First Lantern,' Hal Jordon is now the leader of The Green Lantern Corps! But they aren't exactly the most well liked group of people anymore. Don't forget to save the date: On Wednesday, June 19, Robert Venditti and Van Jensen (new writer of Green Lantern Corps) will be at Dr. No's signing from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. That's not all DC has on offer this week! Mike Kunkel's Herobear and The Kid return this week in the Herobear and The Kid Special #1 from KaBOOM! In this all new adventure, Tyler and Herobear must stop an attack on the Simpleton Bridge. To make matters worse, it is a school day, and Tyler has forgotten it's picture day. Say cheese! This is a great book that can be enjoyed by all ages, so don't miss out on a fun read.
