Return to the Age of Apocalypse this Wednesday, March 7

Spinning out of Marvel's Uncanny X-Force, Dark Angel Saga comes Age of Apocalypse #1 by writer David Lapham and artist Roberto De La Torre. Last reader's saw, the X-Men of the AoA universe were not doing so hot. Now, even with Apocolypse gone, the Amazing X-Men suffer defeat, and their evil nemesis Weapon X grows more powerful. Having lost their powers, Jean Grey and Sabretooth are on the run and find themselves unlikely allies with the X-Terminated, a new resistance group. Fan's of the popular 90s storyline and current X-title readers will want to check this book out!

This week, the female Fables star in their very own new, ongoing series: Fairest #1. None other than original series creator Bill Willingham is at the helm of this new Fables spin-off series' first storyline, and he is joined by artist Phil Jimenez for the first issue. The new book focuses on the secret histories of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, Red Rose, and other favorites! The first arc follows Briar Rose after her abduction by the goblin army in Fables #107. Plenty of misadventure awaits! Fables readers will not want to miss out on this great new book.

Jonathan Hickman and Nick Pitarra bring readers The Manhattan Projects, a all-new, ongoing series from Image. The year is 1942, and America believes the Manhattan Project was formed to research and produce the first atomic bomb, but the government is actually using it as a cover for experiments far more strange: The Manhattan Projects. Enter Dr. Oppenheimer, a brilliant scientist that has just accepted a position as the civilian head of the Projects. However, much like his new workplace, everything is not what it seems with the good doctor. Check out the first issue this week!

Further driving the multi-verse into madness, IDW's Infestation 2: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 continues their title-spanning event. The Turtles have lived in the New York City sewers their entire lives. It has always been a safe haven from a world that doesn't understand them. However, that all changes when the four brothers discover old tunnels untouched by man for years. Terror awaits the Turtles. Can they fight back against a foe unlike any they've faced before? Let's hope!
