Avenge your boredom with new comics this Wednesday, November 9

This Wednesday, fan-favorite writer Zeb Wells and legendary artist Joe Madureira return with Avenging Spider-Man #1! The wall-crawler's newest series teams him up with the Marvel Universe's greatest heroes! In this premiere issue, Spidey and Red Hulk team-up to take on a Moloid army that decides to get in on the action of the New York Marathon. Spider-Man fans and fans of Marvel's classic series Marvel Team-Up will want to check out the first issue of what promises to be a fun, action-packed monthly adventure!

The fallout of Fear Itself continues to be felt this week in Fear Itself #7.2 by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca. Tony Stark sacrificed what he held most dear to help his friends. Now, Tony confronts Odin, but when it is all over, the world may know Iron Man's darkest secret. The age of the Shattered Heroes (think Heroic Age  following Dark Reign) begins in Battle Scars #1 when the presence of the mysterious Army Ranger Marcus Jones threatens to tear the Marvel U apart! Beyond Fear Itself, Marvel has big plans for 2012, and you can get a sneak peak of things to come this week in the 64-page one-shot Point One! Several of Marvel's best writers and artists join forces to bring readers seven all-new stories that set the stage for next year's big changes, including one story that picks up directly from Uncanny X-Force's "Dark Angel" storyline! Each story is designed to lead into the big events that will take place throughout different books next year.

The X-Men had enough on their hands without Magneto turning back to his old ways. In Magneto:  Not a Hero #1, a video emerges of Magneto killing members of an anti-mutant group. After all of his work with them, the X-Men are shocked to see him turning villain again . Does he really want to give it all up? Or has he just never been caught before now? Also look out for Wolverine #18 and X-Men: Legacy #258.

New York Times best-selling authors P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast's hit series comes to comics this Wednesday in P.C. Cast House of Night #1. Writer Kent Dalian and artists Joelle Jones and Karl Kerschi join the Casts in adapting the novel series to comics for the very first time. Zoey Redbird is just like any other sixteen year old student, but everything changes when Zoey is marked as a vampyre! Now, she must enroll in the vampyre academy House of Night and adapt to an entirely new social hierarchy. Oh yeah, there is that whole craving blood thing that she also has to deal with. Fans of Harry Potter or the original House of Night book series will want to give this comic adaptation a try.

DC's New 52 line continues this week. Keep your eyes open for issue two of the The Huntress and Penguin: Pain and Prejudice miniseries!

These books, and many more, will be available as soon as we open the doors on Wednesday, so come on by! (And if you want to get an idea what else you can expect, check out the covers below!)
