The time is finally here. In Batman #40, The Batman and The Joker make a final stand against one another in the epic conclusion to "Endgame" by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. The two legends of Gotham City finally come to blows, and Batman will have to do everything (and anything) it takes to stop the clown from driving the city into a madness it can never return from. Fans of the series won't want to miss this as it sets up the story for the appearance of a new Batman (?) in June.
Check out the rest of this week's highlights and a full list of release after the break.
DC fans also have Convergence #4 by Jeff King, Stephen Segovia, and Jason Paz this week. The Warlord will do what it takes to stop the heroes of Earth-2, who are currently in the city of Skartaris, from finding the missing Time Travelers. Elsewhere, Telos has captured Dick Grayson and is transporting him from stolen city to stolen city in an effort to show him there is no hope. Other Convergence tie-in books this week include: Convergence Action Comics #1, Convergence Blue Beetle #1, Convergence Booster Gold #1, Convergence Crime Syndicate #1, Convergence Detective Comics #1, Convergence Infinity Inc #1, Convergence Justice Society of America #1, Convergence Plastic Man, Freedom Fighters #1, Convergence Shazam #1, and Convergence World's Finest #1.
Of course, if Batman vs. The Joker and a world full of cities out of space and time don't do it for you, maybe the conclusion to DC's big Grant Morrison event will. In Multiversity #2, Morrison and Ivan Reis reunite to close out this epic story. Heroes from across the Multiverse join together to fight one final battle against something so evil they probably don't stand a chance. In addition, readers will learn about the Justice League of Earth-13 and their leader Super Demon, The Gentry, and the fate of Nix Uotan.
The end is here! The end of Marvel's First Family that is. In The Fantastic Four #645 by James Robinson and Leonard Kirk, the Fantastic Four must go up against the twisted souls of the Heroes Reborn universe led by The Quiet Man. Of course, it would help if Johnny could get his powers back. Once it is all said in done, the question remains: if they survive, will the Fantastic Four still be a family? Don't miss the landmark issue.
