After a couple weeks off, the Hellblazer returns to his own on-going series in Constantine #1 by writers Ray Fawkes and Jeff Lemire and artist Renato Guedes. For fans of the long-running Vertigo series, Jeff Lemire has stated that they are staying as true to the character as possible--minus some language and he is now located in New York. For readers not too familiar with the character, expect a world full of magic, demons, and betrayal as our british hero John Constantine delves deep into the arcade world of the New DCU. The death of Robin continues to be felt across the DC Universe in this week's two 'Requiem' books: Catwoman #18 and Nightwing #18. Then, Geoff Johns brings Cyborg center stage in Justice League #18 as he prepares for next month's new arc 'Off the Grid.' For even more Justice, don't miss Justice League of America #2 and Justice League of America's Vibe #2.
While Age of Ultron takes the week off, Marvel's next mutant related event starts this week in X-Termination #1 by David Lapham and David Lopez. Spinning out of the pages of the last Uncanny X-Force series, this new story joins together teams from Astonishing X-Men, X-Treme X-Men, and Age of Apocalypse. The AoA Nightcrawler just wants to go home, and he doesn't care who or what gets in his way. For some more mutant fun, look no further than All New X-Men #9, Cable and X-Force #6, and X-Factor #253, also on store shelves this week.
Those of you looking to try something new this week may want to check out Image Comic's new book Five Ghosts: Haunting of Fabian Gray #1 by Frank K. Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham. This new book promises to usher in "a bold new era of pulp adventure comics." Fabian Gray is an infamous treasure hunter that has come across The Dreamstone, an artifact that has led to his possession by five ghosts. On the upside, he has gained access to all of their unique abilities. If that doesn't sound like the book for you, maybe Dark Horse Comic's new Star Wars Legacy: Prisoner of the Floating World #1 by Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman. Ania Solo--the great, great granddaughter of Han and Leia solo--is just trying to survive in a galaxy that wants anything but that. Her life becomes even more complicated after she discovers and old lightsaber and a Imperial communications droid. What type of complicated? The type that makes you dead.
