Quantum & Woody return this Wednesday, July 10

The Man of Steel has had a busy couple of weeks, what with a new movie and two new books, and there are no signs of him slowing down as Superman Unchained #2 by Scott Snyder and Jim Lee prepares to hit shelves this Wednesday. A terrorist group known only as Ascension has been escalating their attacks at every turn, causing Superman nothing but trouble. Luckily, big blue is getting a little help this issue from Batman! Also, Jimmy Olsen is in the spotlight in this issue's backup story. In Batman #22, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo continue their 'Year Zero' story. Batman's past with the Red Hood Gang is explored, and witness his early encounter with up-and-coming District Attorney Harvey Dent. Then, Kurt Busiek and Brent Anderson continue their hit-series focusing on the humans behind the super humans in Astro City #2. Don't forget to check the list at the end of the post for all of the other great DC titles coming out this week.

This week from Marvel, the Superior Spider-Man comes face to face with the villains he has brutalized the past year in Superior Spider-Man #12. In 'No Escape" part 2, Spidey, Jonah, Glory and Norah are all trapped in the Raft when the Spider-Slayer, Scorpion, Boomerang and the Vulture break free with only revenge in their hearts. After the events of last issue, Clint has hit rock bottom in Hawkeye #12 by Matt Fraction and Francesco Francavilla. Discover Hawkeye's new status quo and who is with or against him! Valiant Entertainment's hit line of comics gets bigger this week with the addition of Quantum & Woody #1 by James Asmus and Tom Fowler. When they were kids, Eric and Woody Henderson were  never apart. They were adopted brothers, best of friends, and both super smart. However, as time passed, they grew apart and become rivals. It took the murder of their father to draw them back together and into super hero costumes. Oh, and there's a goat! How? Why? Where? What? You ask. Well, you'll just have to read to find out!
