The Image comic-book event of the year is finally here with this week's release of Jupiter's Legacy #1 by the all-star creative team of Mark Millar and Frank Quietly. The world didn't always have superheroes, but a group of travelers changes that after their journey to an uncharted island transforms their lives forever. As time passes, the heroes have kids, but what is expected of you when your parent's are the most powerful people on the planet? Will the legacy of the parents inspire greatness in their children, or will it poison their outlook on the heroic life? That is what Millar and Quietly look to explore in Jupiter's Legacy. With a very strong story from Millar and incredible art from Quietly, readers will not want to miss the next great superhero epic.
Bruce Wayne continues to struggle with the loss of his son Damian in Grant Morrison's Batman Incorporated #10, with art by Chris Burnham. As Morrison's epic story grows closer to its conclusion, Bruce must battle the beast from within and perhaps from without. Who will win? Speaking of endings, Before Watchmen: Comedian #6, by Brian Azzarello and J.G. Jones, brings the entire Before Watchmen event to a close. So don't miss it. This Wednesday also marks the last week of special gatefold covers from DC. In All Star Western #19, Jonah Hex meets a man that 'might not be from around these parts.' Joshua Fialkov's I Vampire comes to an end with issue #19; will Andrew Bennett survive? Marvel's reality destroying 'X-Termination' event reaches its six and final part in X-Termination #2 by David Lapham and David Lopez. Will the Age of Apocalypse survive Jean Grey and her newly acquired Apocalypse power? Then, Frazer Irving joins Uncanny X-Men #5's creative team as readers discover what it is like to be at student at Cyclops' new school.
