Wolverine, the Force, the future, and more in new comics this Wednesday, October 26

The dust has settled, and the X-Men have chosen their sides. This week, Wolverine and his team are moving back into the Xavier Institute in Wolverine & The X-Men #1, written by Jason Aaron with art by Chris Bachalo. Spinning directly out of X-Men Schism, Wolverine and his crew--including readers' favorites like Beast, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, and more--return to Westchester in attempt to make the X-Men what the once were: a place for young mutants to grow and learn. However, the newly reformed Hellfire Club won't make life easy for the group. This double-sized first issue is the perfect place for new or returning readers to get into the X-Men! Also, Astonishing X-Men #43 and New Mutants #32 will be on shelves when we open this Wednesday.

A long time ago in a comic shop not too far, far away, Dark Horse Comics told the tale of the Emperor's last Imperial Guard in Star Wars Crimson Empire. This Wednesday, Kir Kanos's adventure in Star Wars: Crimson Empire III, Empire Lost #1 by original writer Mike Richardson and artist Paul Gulacy. The New Republic grows in strength, but the galaxy is not yet safe. While going about their business on Coruscant, Han Solo and Princess Leia's family is threatened, and Luke Skywalker's Jedi training will have to be put on hold to deal with situation. Meanwhile, Kir Kanos, now a bounty hunter, prepares to settle an old score--but only if he can survive his newest adversary!

Marvel's arrowed adventurer headlines the new mini-series Avengers Solo #1 by writers Jen Van Meter and Jim McCann with art by Roger Robinson. Hawkeye is pulled into a murderous conspiracy when a dead body of a stranger appears on the Avenger's doorstep. Thanks to The Trapster, Hawkeye is going to have a hard time making it out of this one. In a back up story by Jim McCann and Andrea Divito, Hank Pym and his students from the Avengers Academy set off to solve a mystery too fantastic to believe.

Legion Secret Origin #1 is DC Comic's latest mini-series set in the newly relaunched universe. Writer Paul Levitz and artists Chris Batista and Rich Perot bring you the never before known secrets behind the Legion's origin. Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lighting Lad started the Legion but the story really begins here. What brought about the United Planets? Who tried to kill R.J. Brande? And what has the power to decimate entire planets? Find out the answers to these questions and more! As a bonus, those who buy the first issue will receive an official Legion of Super-Heroes flight ring! (The ability to fly is not guaranteed.) Fans of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso's 100 Bullets are sure to love their new Vertigo series this week: Spaceman #1. The new series is set in a post-apocalyptic future and tells the story tale of Orson, a loner who spends his day collecting scrap, dreaming of a life in the stars. When a child is kidnapped, Orson finds himself in the perfect position to be the hero. However, despite good intentions, his actions are only going to make matters worse
