Never fear, new comics are here this Wednesday, October 19

Fear grips the Marvel Universe, and its heroes are defenseless. However, in Fear Itself #7, Tony Stark returns from Svartalfheim with Earth's last hope. This double sized finale is sure to end with a bang. The thrills don't stop there! Fan favorite writers Matt Fraction, Cullen Bunn, and Chris Yost and the amazing art team of Mark Bagley and Paul Pelletier bring you Fear Itself: Fearless #1! Before the dust settles, Valkyrie begins her hunt for the hammers that have spread themselves across the Marvel Universe. Her mission is not without its roadblocks as she comes across opposition the likes of the Red Skull, Captain America, and The Avengers! You will not want to miss this amazing 12-issue series. Before you read that, make sure you also grab Fear Itself: Home Front #7 and Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #6 and read the conclusions to both of these series.

This week, IDW and DC Comics join forces to bring readers Star Trek/Legion of Superheroes #1 by writer Chris Roberson and artist Jeffrey Moy. The 23rd and 31st centuries collide when the Legionnaires find themselves thrown back in time into a Universe unfamiliar to them. The group soon encounters the crew of the USS Enterprise, which leads to one of the most bizarre partnerships in comics. This mini-series will be great for fans of either group!

If zombies are more your speed, the new novel The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor HC is on shelves by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga. What drives a man like The Governor to such extremes?
