New Release List and Highlights for Wednesday, November 12

Sam Wilson, formerly The Falcon, makes his self-titled debut in All-New Captain America #1 by Rick Remender and Stuart Immonen. In this spy-fi adventure, Wilson and Nomad team up to take on the terrorist group Hydra. The evil organization seems to be behind everything in the Marvel Universe and has managed to bring together Cap's worst foes in an effort to stop the new, heroic duo. Then, spinning directly out of AXIS, readers get Captain American and Mighty Avengers #1 by Al Ewing and Luke Ross. The new Cap in town gets the Mighty Avengers back together, but the recent change in ideology caused by AXIS immediately threatens the bonds of the reformed team. And if the team wasn't happy now, just wait until Spider-Man tries to rejoin the group!

Check out more highlights and a complete list of the books being release after the break!

Captain America wasn't the only person changed by AXIS. Tony Stark is back to his old ways in the all new Superior Iron Man #1 by Tom Taylor and Yildiray Cinar. If Tony Stark had learned any humility in the past, it's all gone now. This new (old) Stark brings more style, confidence, cunning and booze than ever before as he sets out to make San Francisco the city of the future by releasing Extremis to the people! What could go wrong? In fact, you can see how well it goes in Avengers and X-Men: AXIS #5 as Daredevil faces off against Iron Man for the fate of the city. Meanwhile, the X-Men get a new home and the Axis of Evil sets its sights an the MU's heroes! If you need more AXIS related reading, don't miss AXIS: Hobgoblin #2 by Kevin Shinick and Javier Rodriguez.

Part two of "Endgame" arrives this week in Batman #36 by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Greg Capullo and Danny Miki. After the end of issue #35, it would appear a certain Clown Prince may be out and about again, which surely spells trouble for Batman and the rest of the Justice League! Also, thanks to Scott Snyder, this issue is back down to the regular $3.99 cover price! Meanwhile, Barbara Gordon fights her own battles against graduate school and twin sister assassins on motorcycles in Batgirl #36 by Cameron Stewart, Brendan Fletcher and Babs Tarr! And don't forget DC's weekly series: Batman Eternal #32, Earth 2 Worlds End #6 and New 52 Futures End #28.

If you're looking to try something new from DC/Vertigo, give Kitchen #1 by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle a try. The time is the late 1970s. The place is Hell Kitchen in New York City. Drugs and sex run things, and the Italian Mafia runs the drugs, sex and everything else!  But what happens when the crew in charge ends up in jail? Their wives take over! This is your classic gangster story told with a modern twist. Don't miss it.
