Tons of great new comics this Wednesday, December 19

Marvel wants to make sure readers have plenty of books for any holiday travel they may have coming up, so look for lots of great NOW! titles on the shelf this Wednesday. The Avengers have been captured by Ex Nihlo--a galactic being bent on terraforming the Earth. After being returned to Earth as a warning, Captain America must bring together a team of super heroes to stand against Ex Nihlo and his partners in evolution in Avengers #2. Witness the next era of the Avengers, now!
Several of the Avenger's solo titles continue this
week as well: Captain America #2, Thor, God of Thunder #3, and Indestructible Hulk #2. I hope you're ready for Avengers Arena #2 because the action doesn't stop after the shocking conclusion to last week's issue. Arcade pits Deathlocket against Annihilation's Cammi and Avenger Academy's Hazmat. Thunderbolts #2 brings together several characters that are no strangers to death--Red Hulk, Venom, Elektra, Deadpool, and the Punisher--to stop the MU's most deadly villains. Then, Cable and X-Force #2 continues the new X-Force's quest to save the future. When it comes to the future, the original X-Men are seeing a world they never meant to create in All New X-Men #4. Other great titles to check out this week include A Plus X #3, FF #2, and Uncanny X-Force #35.

DC introduces a new series strait from the pages of JSA: The Liberty Files: JSA, Liberty Files: The Whistling Skulls #1 by B. Clay Moore and Tonny Harris. The Nazi warmachine continues to push through 1940s Europe, and it is up to one strange duo to solve one of the most bizarre mysteries of their time. Joker attacks Haly's Circus in Nightwing #15, a "Death of the Family" tie-in issue! "Rise of the Third Army" continues in Green Lantern #15 as Earth's new Lantern meets Guy Gardner and Green Lantern: New Guardians #15 as Kyle Rayner attempts to recruit the greedy Larfleeze to his cause. And don't miss Before Watchmen: Moloch #2, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe #5, and other great titles!

Readers may also want to check out Marvel's Castle: A Calm Before the Storm #1 by Peter David and Robert Atkins. This all new miniseries based on ABC's hit show continues the Derrick Storm adaptation from the previous graphic novels but can still be enjoyed by new readers and fans of the show. Then, DC presents Django Unchained #1 by Quentin Tarantino and R.M. Guera. This adaptation presents the full blood-soaked screenplay that includes scenes not in the final theatrical release.
