Valiant launches Unity this Wednesday, Nov 13

 Marvel celebrates the 50th anniversary of the X-Men with this week's X-Men Gold #1 by Chris Claremont, Salvador Larroca and Jorge Molina. This special issues gives readers a never told classic story featuring Cyclops, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Kitty Pryde and Rogue. If that isn't enough, expect material from legendary creators like Stan Lee, Walter Simonson, Louise Simonson and Fabian Nicieza. More X-action can be found in Wolverine #11 by Paul Cornell and Alan Davis. Kitty Pyrde and Wolverine confront the Thirteen Ninjas of Sabretooth's Hand, and Lord Deathstrike and  Silver Samurai enter the scene. Then, Kitty Pyrde deals with the fallout of 'Battle of the Atom' in All New X-Men #18. In Cataclysm: Ultimate Spider-Man #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez, Mile Morales is faced with the possible destruction of his universe. His only hope is to join forces with Cloak & Dagger and Spider-Woman to do what they can as they face the apocalypse.

Batman #25 continues Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's 'Zero Year' storyline. The Riddler plunges Gotham City into complete darkness. Chaos spreads as 'Dark City' begins this issue. The blackout is also eclipsing several other titles this month. In Batgirl #25: Zero Year, Barbara must protect her home and her brother from the madness in Gotham. Then, Dick Grayson searches for Haly's Circus and his parents when Gotham's lights go out in Nightwing #25: Zero Year. And don't miss Green Lantern Corps #25: Zero Year. John Stewart is a young Marine just deployed in Gotham City to help keep peace as The Riddler creates panic, but he encounters more than he expected when he goes up against Anarky.

Valiant Entertainment launches its biggest book of the year this Wednesday. New York Times best-selling author Matt Kindt and superstar artist Doug Braithwaite join forces for Unity #1. Toyo Harada, one of the most powerful and dangerous men on the Earth, has finally found someone who puts fear into his heart. On the other side of the world, a warrior king has armed himself with the most powerful weapon in the universe: X-O Manowar. Nightcrawler returns this Wednesday, November 6

Fans of Marvel's fuzzy blue elf, Nightcrawler, will be very happy this Wednesday with the release of Amazing X-Men #1 by Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness. After his demise in Messiah Complex, the X-Men have had a significant hole in their roster. However, they may have just discovered he isn't gone after all. Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Iceman, Northstar and Firestar embark to find their missing friend and make the X-family whole again. In Longshot Saves The Marvel Universe #1, someone is out to destroy the Marvel U's luckiest of the lucky, and Longshot is high on that list. It is up to Longshot to survive and save the Marvel Universe from this new threat. The Age of Ultron continues to be felt as the Ultimate Universe is once again attack by Galactus, and the Ultimates are its first line of defense in Cataclysm: The Ultimates' Last Stand #1. Other books of note this week are Marvel Knights: Spider-Man #2, Fantomex Max #2, Might Avengers #3 and more!

DC's New 52 changing event continues in Forever Evil #3 by Geoff Johns, David Finch and Richard Friend. The Justice Leagues are dead and the Teen Titans failed to stand against the Secret Society, so only one man remains to stand against them: Lex Luthor! And find out the secret behind the Society's mission on Earth and how it will affect the future of the DCU. This month, "Batman: Year Zero" spreads to several other titles to find out what other heroes were up to when Batman was coming in to his own. Action Comics #25 finds a young Superman battling the forces of nature in order to save Gotham City.  In Detective Comics #25, a cop who wants justice above all else sets out to take on the G.C.P.D.'s corrupt officers and the urban legend Batman.      Come on by Dr. No's Comics and Games Superstore this Saturday and Sunday, from Noon til 4pm, to get a look at the exciting new set for the Yu Gi Oh Trading Card Game, Shadow Specters! Sneak Peeks are a fun way to to play with the new set because it is a "casual play" event. A casual play event is not a structured tournament, but an event where you can show up anytime between noon and 4pm, play 3 games against whomever you want, and be entered into the drawing for the playmat!

Neil Gaiman and The Sandman return this Wednesday, October 30

Twenty-five years ago, Neil Gaiman introduced the world to The Sandman, and it has been beloved ever sense. Now, Gaiman returns to the series that made him who he is today. The Sandman: Overture #1 is the prequel story fans have been asking for, ranging from the birth of the galaxy to the the capture of Morpheus in the first issue of the original series. Art is provided by the amazing J.H. Williams; his widescreen portraits give life to the universe like never before. Fan's can also expect cameos from some of their favorite characters like Merv Pumpkinhead, The Corinthian, and the Sandman's siblings. Comic fans new and old won't want to miss Neil Gaiman and The Sandman's return to shelves this Wednesday.

Batman's son Damian returns this week, but not how you might think. In Damian: Son of Batman #1 by Andy Kubert, Damian's co-creator, readers get a glimpse of a future that may never actually come. Damian Wayne has adopted the cape and cowl of Batman, but what terrible events led to him doing this? Getting back to DCU proper, check out Forever Evil: A.R.G.U.S. #1 by Sterling Gates, Phillip Tan, Neil Edwards and Javier Pina. Cartoon Network and IDW have teamed up to bring the legendary samurai simply known as 'Jack' back for a new adventure in Samurai Jack #1 by Jim Zub and Andy Suriano (original character designer for the Samurai Jack TV show). Jack is stranded in a strange future ruled by the wizard Aku, but the ancient artifact known as the Rope of Eons may be the key to getting Jack home. Everything is on the line for Jack, so don't miss the next era of samurai action.

Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting, the team that redefined Captain America, have joined forces with Image comics to bring readers Velvet #1. When the world's best secret agent is murdered, the Personal Assistant to the Director of the Agency and former field agent Velvet Templeton is called into action once again after nearly 20 years. Action, murder and mystery quickly find Velvet in this dark, new twist on the spy genre. Don't miss this extra-length first issue from this creative dynamic duo.
