New Release Comics - Wednesday, August 12

There's a new villain in Gotham City, and his name is Mr. Bloom! In Batman #43 by Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, and Danny Miki, Batman must solve the mystery of this man who stalks (get it?) the city's streets. Jump on board with this brand new storyline. Then, the "Truth" story continues in Action Comics #43 as Superman defies the Metropolis police and in Batman/Superman #23 as the Man of Steel and the new Dark Knight team up. A few other notable DC titles include Constantine, The Hellblazer #3, Earth 2 Society #3, Gotham Academy #9, and Green Arrow #43.

And fans of DC's popular Bombshells statue line are in luck this week because the new series DC Comics Bombshells #1 by Marguerite Bennett and Marguerite Sauvage hits shelves. Welcome to an alternate reality where amazing, superpowered women fight on the front lines of World War II. Harnessing the 1940's pinup style, readers are treated to all new stories featuring favorite characters like Batwoman, Wonder Woman, and Supergirl like they've never read before.

Marvel's latest epic storyline continues in Secret Wars #5 by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic. There is one thing you must know, "OWEN REECE DIES FOR OUR SINS!" The Molecule Man's roll in Secret Wars becomes more apparent.
